Port to Fort 6k

Unorganized packet pick-up and an unorganized start!! That about sums up this race. I don't foresee BigBlue Running returning to this event in 2009.

On a positive note Darby averaged under an 8 minute mile. Results are here. Darby is now in sole possession of first place in the BigBlue Standings.


Reminder, The Towson University LEAD Half Marathon will be this coming weekend, May 3. Looks like the start will be at the Freeland Parking lot @ 9:30am. Darby and Chris have committed to this event.

Rain Holds Off for Clyde's 10K

BigBlue Running was joined by Mark D. for this hilly 6.2 miles. Thanks for joining us Mark! Clyde's of Columbia 10k gave a solid 6 points to Darby, Mike and Chris. Race results can be found here. With these race times, we would win the the 55-59 year old female category.

Clyde's 10k is coming up on Sunday @ 8:00am. As far as I understand, Darby, Chris and Mike are confirmed for this run.

Upcoming April Events

As we all know the Ocean City Half Marathon will be this weekend, April 12. Looks the weather man is calling for chance of thunderstorms and windy conditions, makes running 13 miles all that much better.

There are a couple other races that are upcoming in mid-to-late April. Clydes American 10k is April 20 (Darby has registered, Chris gave a verbal commitment but has not registered yet). Lastly on April 27, is the Port to Fort 6k. This run begins at The Baltimore Museum of Industry, which holds a special place to two members of BigBlue Running, Ross and Chris. Darby has registered for this event, Todd gave a verbal commitment, but I am not holding my breath.
